Create Cluster

You can create instances via the console of JCS for Elasticsearch. For billing instructions of instances, please refer to Price Overview" and "Billing Rules".

Precondition

• JD Cloud account registration is done and real-name verification is completed. If you have no accounts, please Register, or make Real-name Verification.
• If billing type is selected as pay by configuration, please confirm that your account balance (including coupon) is sufficient for your application.

Operation Steps

1. Log in to JCS for Elasticsearch Console.

2. Click Create Cluster in the Instance List Page to enter the Create Cluster Page.

3. After logging in the "Create Cluster" page, you can set information such as region, basic information, specification, network and snapshot.

   • Region: The current work areas support North China - Beijing,South China - Guangzhou, East China - Shanghai

   • AZ: An Availability Zone is a physical area that uses independent power and network resources. Interconnected through the internal network and physically isolated to improve the availability of application program.

   • Deployment mode: Supporting single-availability zone and multi-availability zone deployment. Single-availability zone deployment supports cross-rack disaster recovery, and multi-availability zone deployment supports cross-machine room disaster recovery, but the network may have a certain delay. You can select the deployment method according to business requirements. When multi-availability zone deployment is selected, the data nodes of the cluster will be evenly distributed to the multiple multi-availability zones you select. The deployed data nodes support the availability zone sensing function, which can distribute the replicas of data to multiple availability zones to ensure that there is only one replica in a single availability zone. When a single availability zone fails, the remaining availability zones can still provide uninterrupted services.

   • Single-availability zone deployment supports cross-rack disaster recovery, and multi-availability zone deployment supports cross-machine room disaster recovery, but the network will have a certain delay.

   • Version: Currently, 5.6.9, 6.5.4, 6.7.0, 6.8.13, 7.5.2 and 7.9.3 are supported.

   • Cluster Name: For customized cluster name, the name cannot be blank. It only supports numbers, capital and lowercase letters, English underline "_" and line-through "-", and cannot exceed 32 characters.

   • ** Storage type **: It supports local SSD disk, performance SSD cloud disk and capacity HDD cloud disk.

   • ** Node specification **: It supports multiple calculation specifications, which can be selected according to specific business conditions.

   • ** Single-point storage specification **: The storage specification range is 20-16,000GB, the step size is 10GB. An integer can be entered.

   • ** Number of nodes **: Support the ticket method to enhance the node quota.

   • ** Enable proprietary master node **: The use of proprietary master nodes can improve the stability of the cluster. It is recommended to enable the proprietary master node. After enabling, you can select the specification and number of nodes.

   • Enable Coordinator Node: Like Load Balancer, coordinator nodes are used for responding customers’ requests and balancing load of each node. By adding coordinator nodes, tasks of balance node load undertaken by data nodes can be released, benefiting large clusters. After enabling, the node specification and quantity can be selected.

   • Virtual Private Cloud: Displays the current VPC list. The most newly created VPC is selected by default. Click “Create New Virtual Private Cloud" after the list to jump to the Virtual Private Cloud (VPC) page.

   • "Subnet": Displays the current subnet list. The most newly created subnet is selected by default. Click “Create New Subnet” after the list to jump to the Virtual Private Cloud - Subnet page.

   • ** Snapshot **: It is disabled by default and can be enabled. After it is enabled, you can select the daily backup time.

   • Quantity purchased: When the billing method you selected is monthly package, you need to select the purchase duration and whether to renew automatically.

4. Click "Buy Now" to complete the purchase process.

5. The created cluster will be displayed in the cluster list with the status of "Creating". Wait patiently for a few minutes, and the status of the cluster will change to "Running" after successful creation.
