The cloud database MongoDB supports setting the whitelist function. You can precisely control access sources through the whitelist.
The CIDR of the VPC where the current instance is located will be added to the whitelist by default after the MongoDB instance is created, that is, there are no restrictions on the IPs in the current VPC.
Moreover, if the VPC where the current instance is located supports IPv6, only IPv6 CIDRs are added by default.
Log in MongoDB Console.
On the "Instance List" page, select the target instance and click Instance Name to go to the "Instance Details" page.
Click Data Security on the "Instance Details" page to enter the whitelist setting page.
Click Set Whitelist to open the settings popup window.
You can manually fill in the IP or IP segment, or directly load the intranet IP of the Virtual Machine.
Fill in manually
Enter the IPs or IP segments to be accessed in the text box, and separate multiple IPs (or IP segments) with commas or line breaks. For example:
Upload private IP of virtual machine
After editing is completed, click OK to complete the settings.
The whitelist will take effect within 1 minute after being set. You can view the currently set IP on the whitelist settings page, and adjust the settings at any time according to business changes.
