Certificate revocation process

When you no longer need an SSL certificate, or you have security concerns, you can apply for certificate revocation at any time on the JD Cloud Certificate console.

Overview

Certificate revocation refers to the cancellation of the issued certificate from the issuing authority. After the certificate is revoked, encryption will be terminated, and the browser will no longer trust the certificate. JD Cloud SSL Certificate Service supports revocation of issued certificates.

Description

• If you need to apply for a refund for an issued certificate, you must complete the revocation process within 30 calendar days after the certificate is issued, otherwise no refund will be approved.
• The revocation process for the issued certificate brand [globsign] must be completed within 7 calendar days after the certificate is issued, otherwise no refund will be approved.
• If the certificate has beenissued for more than 30 calendar days or the revocation process cannot be completed within 30 calendar days after its issuance, the refund will not be supported.

Operation Steps

1. Log in to the JD Cloud SSL Certificate console interface

2. On the left menu bar, click Subscription Management

3. On the SSL Certificate page, click More - Revoke

4. Check the relevant information, click [Submit Information] , and wait for CA’s approval

5. Complete email confirmation.

After submitting the certificate revocation application, CA Center will send a confirmation email to your email address (the applicant email address filled in when applying for the certificate). You need to check your mailbox and follow the instructions in the email to revoke the certificate. When you complete the email confirmation, the certificate will be revoked successfully.

DV certificate revocation process

1. After submitting the revocation application, please follow CA’s instructions in the email to configure the revocation verification information

2. If automatic DNS verification was used for the certificate originally and now the automatic DS verification conditions are not met, manual DNS verification is needed

3. If manual DNS verification is used for the certificate, please add DNS resolution records within 3 days, otherwise the revocation operation will fail. The certificate can be revoked after the resolution records are verified.

4. If file verification is used for the certificate, please add the file record and access it successfully within 3 days, otherwise the revocation operation will fail. The certificate can be revoked after the file verification is passed.

OV/EV certificate revocation process

1. Refer to Step 4 and click “Upload Certificate Revocation Confirmation Letter”

2. Click [Download Confirmation Letter Template] to fill in the information in the confirmation letter

3. After completing the confirmation letter, affix the official seal on the application letter and upload a scanned copy or a clear photo.

4. Click [Upload] to upload the completed confirmation letter, and click [Submit Information] . Wait for CA’s confirmation email and complete the revocation application
